What do you think of the Band Extreme?
I know relatively little about them but I have heard that III Sides to Every Story was a great album.

2. I think that was Pornograffitti.
III Sides is like a concept album. It has been compared to Dark Side of the Moon.

3. Don't you mean "what DID you think of the band Extreme?"
They've broken up, never to appall music listeners again.

9. I always thought it was kind of pathetic ...
that Nuno Bettencourt, the guitarist, was a much more attractive guy than Gary Cherone, the lead singer. Cherone, by the way, was the vocalist in Van Halen for about five minutes a few years back, maybe Sammy was drying out or something, I don't know. Also, incidentally, Cherone is anti-choice, and recently won an award from some Christian organization for 'sticking to his guns.' It's a fact!

10. I think it is interesting politically.
Sammy Hagar and Gary Cherone are very right wing. I don't know what Eddie, Dave, Mike and Alex are like. Gary's album with Van Halen sucked. THe thing is, I heard good things about III Sides to Every Story. I am curious about that album

12. VERY good album
Good songwriting, great guitar work. The drummer, whoever he is, distinguishes himself.

And the next album Waiting for the Punchline is also very good, albeit nihilistic.

14. III Sides?
I keep hearing that the album is great. Though, it got short-changed because Extreme already got written off as a hair-metal/power balladeer band. The album was a concept album (a la Dark Side of the Moon) and it came out in 1992. Grunge was popular. Hair bands (which that album was perceived as) was not, and concept albums (which this album actually was) were not popular at this time.

Imagine your daughter coming home with that freak. You'd lose it.
