I read that their CEO gave money to the dems, makes me more happy I am a PS2 owner other than the fact we get the GTAs first and MGS's.

I like WWII FPS's the best of the FPS genre, that kinda stuff actually makes me wonder if I had been alive back then, I would enlist.

and sometimes those really awesome history channel documentaries are only on VHS so we still VHS, though it would be nice if the assmonkey who was head of production down there would just convert them to DVD, like it would be better that way, but I got a VHS hooked up yes.

So that's the sole reason I keep my VHS player.

Just kiddin actually I have many memorable moments on VHS including game 7 of the ALCS championship and some other stuff that for some reason I don't have DVD versions of.

Plus it's the way I can record things for now.

I am glad my dad hooked it up for my little brother honestly. Stern heh is good, got that from my dad. Most of my history documentaries I enjoy are VHS only though some are DVD so all is ok. You know what sucks, in some time the DVD will become somewhat obslete like the VHS, :shrug: would suck I think, I hate conversions like that.

They gotta come up with something that beats digital technology. The most I can think of they could do is maybe shrink the size of the media format but as far as picture quality and sound I think we're a ways off before the DVD becomes totally obsolete.

Old favorites to me like Predator and Aliens and so forth can only have so much done to them. I mean the next future player would do what? make it 3D? that'd be cool but ya know HOW????

In truth my favorite moment on the Butt Bongo video is "Guess Who's The Jew?" with Daniel Carver (KKK guy) It's priceless.

16. Yea no doubt

Aliens was my favorite one, but I love Alien. Alien 3 was okay I can stand to watch it a couple times per year.

Alien Ressurection honestly I have a like/dislike relationship with it. On its own merit I guess it's fun mindless entertainment, but at the same time I think it totally is detracted from the first 3 alien movies.

I'm glad Alien VS Predator seemed to pick up more from the 3rd film.

I love resurrection for the fact that it's filmed well and does a great job at establishing a real vision.

On PURE ARTISTIC and thril/fear factor, Alien wins for me because it's just filmed so perfectly and there was so much artistry that went into it.

Aliens I love the the action, the Queen, and the story.

Alien 3 can't really be judged by the other films, it was unique and good in its own way, some have even considered that it might have been a dream ripley was having because there was so much in the film that didn't line up with Aliens, the look of the ship, the egg on board, the ultimate fear of Ripley realised; that she lose her daughter again, 'newt' would represent that, and that she be impregnated with an alien.

but we will never know :)

14. Yea me too I mean what more could you really ask for?

I don't see how you could vastly improve the picture or sound of DVD beyond the scope of what even our senses are capable of picking up.

I think I read somewhere that even the PS3 is going to have graphical capabilities that supposedly the human eye won't even be able to notice or appreciate so in a sense it's like what's the use? but being a techno-geek I always appreciate technological advances.

Also there's the cost factor. I don't doubt that someday we could have the technology capable of watching a movie and maybe have it be interactive or something cool like that, but to make it affordable is something else.

Tech isnt a good area of mine though I guess I could notice some differances, I'll only get PS3 because many games will be PS3 exslusive.

You're right though nowadays it's not about the graphics remember those days (having fond memories of the days when you got a SNES cause it had AWESOME graphics at the time) now it's not about which system has the best graphics it's all games, I mean it's really gotten to where Xbox is far more powerful than the PS 2 hardware-wise but alot of people have no use for it cause they want to be the first to get Grand Theft Auto and Metal Gear like you mentioned.

The curse of this is now that this is the trend you gotta get every system to fully enjoy the talents of game designers out there.

So I havent heard much about the new GTA since reading one article and I havent played the MGS3 demo, both should be awesome. Call of Duty is coming out for PS2 which should be a great game, judging by my experience with it on the PC.
