Should men wear makeup?
Women say they look like shit when they wake up in the morning and they become pretty through application of makeup. Should men wear makeup so they can take on the femine jewel?

1. Makeup is an evil curse on society
Why extend it to men as well? No way.

2. Depends who they want to appeal to
We're in no position to say someone can or can't put something on their face.

3. No. Men look stupid in makeup.

With the exception of the most beautiful drag queens.

RuPaul, Supermodel of the World.

Also, Dave Navarro pulls it off pretty well, but he doesn't go overboard...

4. Yes, SOME Men Should...
a little eyeliner or nailpolish on the right man can be the hottest thing ever, but on other men it's just W-R-O-N-G.

5. Pee Wee Herman wore makeup
as does Ru Paul.
But as for that feminine jewel thing......
I don't think the chicks were trying to jump either one.

The average guy,
-- or Prime Minister --
is liable to be misunderstood when he shows up in make-up.....

Few noticed that Sharon arrived carefully made-up, ready for the television cameras. Ma'ariv reporter Ben Caspit, who covered the visit, added that Sharon never leaves the house without make-up. What's he worried about at his age? That someone will see his wrinkles? That someone will notice the bags under his eyes if he spontaneously stumbles onto the scene of a terrorist attack or walks in front of a camera? Would his remarks, uttered straight from the heart, about the horror of mangled bodies, be any less powerful if his cheeks were not powdered in dusky rose?

..... even if his masculinity is never in question.

15. Or if you're going on stage.
I've had to use makeup quite a bit when I was a theatre major. You'd be surprised how well it works when you have to age yourself twenty to thirty years.

16. you mean makeup for actors? or the kind women wear
I am such a ditz :D. All I gotta do to make myself look older is not shave for a while, and you know what I hate not shaving.

18. True, Jon ...
However, in my thespian days, I used to get a pretty nasty allergic reaction to some kinds of makeup. So unless the technology's improved, I guess I'll pass ...

12. No Makeup / Body Hair Yes
men should concentrate on hair issues, not just beards - eyebrows, pits, and that special place. Keep it clipped guys!

14. I used to wear makeup in high school
Edited on Tue Aug-17-04 01:21 AM by mahayasmellbad
Yes, I am a heterosexual male. A lot of kind and likeable people wanted to be around me back then! </irony>

edit: also used to wear women's clothing on occasion, skirts and such. see, I liked a lot of unintentional gothic stuff, like the Cocteau Twins and Siouxsie and the Banshees and the Cure (minus 100 lbs) so it's really not that sillly or HORRIBLE

I also used to TUCK FLOWERS BEHIND MY EAR
