Oh the irony: makers of Kazaa invoke DMCA to shut down Kazaa Lite
In response to a legal threat that invoked the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Google has removed from its index eight sites that distribute a hacked version of file-swapping service Kazaa.
The popular search engine took action last month after it received a legal notification from Sharman Networks, owner of Kazaa, claiming that the eight sites contained software that violated the company's "exclusive rights" under U.S. copyright law.

3. Is It "SAFE" To Use ANY Version Of Kazaa Anymore??
Are there vice-cop-members who are looking for folks to come to their PC's and download stuff?

Are these lawsuits the result of reverse-tracing Kazaa users?

5. relax..
They are only looking for people who are offering (for share) hundreds and hundreds (see also: "shitload")of music files... on Kazaa there's a switch that allows you to prevent any user for getting a list of all your available files.. that should pretty much take care of it.

The odds of you being one of the few hundred out of 8 million, over 4 million of which are on at the same time at any time, it's not very good.

Kazaa is working on a safe Kazaa that will render the whole thing null anyways.
