Now I am bummed!

This is my second thread. My first one got locked within minutes! I posted in LBN. I was excited because a friend sent me an article I thought was really good. It was from the AP and stated it was only about 2 hours old. I thought, "awesome, my first thread at DU!" So, I looked all over LBN to make sure it wasn't a dupe (I didn't look hard enough, as I was looking only for the title of the article I had, not a variation). Then I posted only four paragraphs, and made my comments! In my smugness, I forgot the damn link!! Here I was all excited and blew my first time out!

Anyway, I just had to vent (at my own stupidity). The people that did respond, were really nice about it and had it not been locked I would have added the link. The moderator was very quick and nice about it! :) To those that post at LBN, more power to you! I guess I am not as "quick" as I thought!

I have been here for a while now, and just yesterday I posted in LBN by accident, meant to post in the lounge. It was a story about two guys getting in trouble for playing basketball in the buff. Boy was I embarrassed, well for a couple of minutes anyway. LOL

Thanks for the nice comments and welcome (and the solidarity!) Thanks to a horrible economy and a creep who has had me blacklisted I have been unemployed for over a year. A few months ago, I stumbled onto this site. I lurked for a long time, but then finally broke down and joined (I will be donating soon!!!). This site has been helpful to my sanity! I get to spout off my beliefs and my partner doesn't always get an earful of my frustrations. :)
