If george were a TV character, whom would he be?
I just got a free DVD of Lost in Space from Pizza Hut, and it occurred to me that bush is not unlike the tough-talking but yella-bellied Mr. Smith.

Any other insights out there?

I'm a grammar asshole myself, and proud of it, but I've also been enjoying the fruits of my recent winemaking hobby this evening...

I'm pretty sure it's "whom," but I'll defer to you, assuming you're not indulging in any hobbies at the moment :)

33. Is it a fuzzy case?
The question is this:

In "Who(m) would he be?" is "who(m)" the grammatical subject or the object (of a verb or preposition)?

We could start with the answer: "He would be Al Bundy." In this case, "Al Bundy" seems to be the object of the verb "to be." If so, then "whom" should be used for "Whom would he be?" Is "Al Bundy" the object of a verb here? We could replace it with a pronoun and find out:

He would be he (grammatical subject).
He would be him (object).

The second seems to be correct, and if it is correct, then the original phrasing is correct, and The Grammar Asshole eats crow.

It's what's for dinner:

21. Inspector Clouseau...
Yeah, I know, it's a movie character, not a TV character. But anyone who falls off a Segway, falls off a bike (twice), chokes on a pretzel, mangles the language, and invades the wrong country is certainly in Clouseau's league.

22. Carmine Jr from The Sopranos
He's similarly a lightweight who gets sucked up to as if he were Christ himself. And he talks like W too. See:

Little Carmine Lupertazzi:
The point I'm trying to illustrate is that of course no one wants all-out conflict, but, historically, historical changes have come out of war.
Rusty Millio:
As far as I'm concerned it's a new day. All old treaties and ways of doing things are null and void.
Little Carmine:
Exactly.
Angelo Garepe:
And the Joe Peeps thing - where does that leave us?
Rusty Millio:
When you've had a quadruple bypass like I did, it gives you a lot of time to think. The only thing Johnny understands is force.
Angelo:
But the fact is though, we've pissed on a bee's nest.
Thug 4:
So what's the other option - roll over?
Angelo:
We could've had a sit-down. The other captains maybe.
Little Carmine:
This isn't the UN, Angelo. I won't let what happened to my father happen to me.
Rusty Millio:
God forgive me, but you may be a stronger man than your dad was.
Little Carmine:
The fundamental question is: will I be as effective as a boss like my dad was? And I will be. Even more so.
But until I am, it's going be hard to verify that I think I'll be more effective.

I have thought of him as Roscoe P. Coletrain since I first laid eyes on him. I think of KKKarl more as Boss Hogg, Cheney is just too evil to be the bumbling Boss... I'd put Cheney and Wolfowitz into ANY vampire movie though.

The USA is the Lexx, traveling through the universe eating the occasional planet for fuel.

John Kerry is played by Kai, of course, and the electorate is represented by 790 and Zev/Xev.

35. No question about it: CAPTAIN WALLACE BURTON BINGHAMTON, USN
What, what, what?

Why does everybody hate me?

McHale's nemesis from "McHale's Navy", Binghamton was stupid, pompous, petty, mean, vengeful, inept, vainglorious and he got his commission through family connections.

No question.

(Joe Flynn was brilliant; he died too young.)
