Breakfast breads

Poll question: Breakfast breads

Okay, to make this simple you are at a restaurant ordering a breakfast platter and you have a choice of the following "breakfast breads." You can't say, "I prefer a muffin, doughnut or danish"

1. I personally love english muffins, but...

I guess if I had over-easy eggs I would be tempted to get the toast.

But I definitely HATE bagels, always have. They are too chewy.

2. Depends what it's with...

If it's eggs where the yolks are runny, wheat toast.
If it's eggs where the yolks aren't runny, english muffin (although I do like my eggs Benedicts with runny yolks).

If the breakfast platter has smoked salmon or other fish on it, then nothing but a bagel would do.

3. Probably...

English muffin. because they toast 'em just right and lather on the butter...

Some bagels are damned good though.

4. If you are referring to a breakfast

platter that inlcudes eggs, bacon, ham, etc. then definitely toast. Otherwise I'd have an english mufin. A bagel alone is a meal and I don't really care for them that much. That is--these would be my choices if I could still eat wheat.
