LUNCH----Mmmmmmm "marginal" chef salad

I stopped at a little market on the way to work and figured I would go ahead and get something for lunch. This place makes a variety of foods-sorta vegetarian, lots of pastas, maybe buffalo meatloaf, that sort of thing- so I went to get a chef salad.

The ones in one row were priced $5.99 and two in another row were marked $0.00. I figured it was a mistake so I took it up to the counter. The cashier rang everything else up and I asked if she missed the salad.

"Nah go ahead and take it"
Me:"Is is a day old or something?" (looked fine)
Her:"No it's just marginal but that is to your advantage"
"Marginal?"
Her:"Yeah it's okay it's fine"

I guess since I bought something else they just let me have it-I would suspect that they wouldn't let you just walk in and grab one and walk out.

Reminds me of walking by my college cafeteria and seeing "Grade D - Edible" on an empty box of chicken.

Pretty good actually but then it is just a salad.
