Do You Enjoy Peeling The Skin Off Yourself After You Get A Sunburn?
I never knew it could be this fun. I got a doozy of a sunburn when I went to tanning salon and was put under the light for 15 minutes, exposing my stomach, which hasn't seen the light of day since Clinton was president.

It turned red, then dark red, then purple, back to dark red, and now its just red and peeling.

And boy, is peeling it fun!

Sorry if this is a gross topic, but you shoulda known that by the headline.

Anyone else take pleasure in this perverse form of mammalian shedding?

8. well, for people who tan regularly, sure
I doubt one can get cancer from one visit to a tanning salon though...right?

12. you should be cool
and didn't mean to pick on you. Thinking more of an uncle who is losing his battle with it - 50 years of working on his horse farm did him in, not from falls, or back or heart attack - it was the sun.

My wife worshipped the sun when she was young. A light haired Swede she looked great in a tan. When they foudn skin cancer on her (ealry 40's) last year she wished she wouldn't have spent so much time looking great!

But no, an occassional burn shouldn't give you skin cancer though rmember what free medical advice on a message board is worth! :)

And yea, as a kid I loved trying to get a huge hunk of skin! I would save it and was always pissed when the stuff shriveled up when it got dry.

7. Yep, and now that I think of it, I almost wish I
had acne. When I was a teen, popping zits was the greatest, especially if you used Chap Stick to draw target circles on the mirror and see how well you shot.

Anything else we need to discuss during my lunch? ;)

9. I thought I was the only one!
I like to do that. I don't know what it is. When my back is sunburned, I like for Mr. Arnheim to peel it off.

Ooohh, cheap pleasure.

16. Ew. (Scratch scratch.) That's disgusting (pick). Why would
you (rrrip) even suggest that (ahhh)?

I don't burn often...but when I do, it's not even an enjoyment thing. It's more of a compulsive thing.

(Wow, one could look at everything I've posted today and believe I need serious help.)
