The most unAmerican thing I've ever done is go food shopping during the Super Bowl. In fact I do it every year. The store is totally empty and I can whip through the aisles without ever having to say Excuse Me. No lines at the checkout either.

I did not see the famous wardrobe malfunction. I didn't miss it, either.

And there's more unAmerican things, too. The list of movies I haven't seen is awesome. I could never go on Jeopardy, I'd get wiped out on Who is John Wayne.

4. This Store Never Closes

I am not that old, but I remember when Super Bowl started. Back then, football was plain old football, not the Great American Ritual it has become.

I'll stop and watch high schoolers play football, but I don't care for the pageantry surrounding the Super Bowl. The annual "theme" is usually treacle.

3. i have found that Super Bowl Sunday

is the best day to go anywhere. I usually go out and paint. I could probably sit in the middle of the road and paint because there is no traffic. Best day to go wine tasting, too.
