One of my two friends got a job at another paper and extra 25 minutes away (on top of the already 40 I drive to get there). Plus, I always stopped by to say hi on my Tuesay Afternoons off on my way to the cabin. So she's still in the area for weekends, but I'll never see her in the week anymore.

My other buddy that's almost an hour away has job interview number two with a place in Toronto. Looks like he may be out. So they'll just be me here.......

I hate the left behind feeling. Don't you?

Even if you wanted the responsibilities. When my friends moved away, I tried to see it as a new start for me. Can't say it always worked, but it never hurt.

7. I now have a job

where, most days, I sit in a room by myself ALL DAY LONG. Six to eight hours of completely being alone. In a room on the far corner of the building. People don't even occupy the rooms on this HALLWAY. Yep.

So I can relate.
