When was the last time you had to factor a polynomial?
Or use an imaginary number? Logarithm?

I think as long as you remember BODMAS you will be ok.

5. Just a few weeks ago
I'm an electrical engineering major so we use that stuff a lot. In fact imaginary numbers are very important for EE people, same goes with logarithms and other stuff.

Granted I have this calculator that takes care of everything - the TI 89. No science or engineering major should go without it.
