My favorite indie rock chick has just gone mainstream. If you haven't heard her yet and love melodic and slightly angry rock, you should definitely check her shit out. I was really looking forward to seeing her perform this summer with the Lollapalooza festival, but alas, it was not meant to be. :-(

Carina Round is riding on the crest of a wave. Her critically-acclaimed brand of blues-rock is finally bringing her the success she deserves and a host of celebrity fans.
Carina has been gigging since she was a teenager and released her seven-track debut album 'The First Blood Mystery' in 2001.
She secured support slots with Coldplay and Ryan Adams amongst others, as she built up a reputation for electric and intense live performances and a powerful, distinctive voice.
Difficult times followed, as she struggled to find someone to put out her second album, eventually making the decision to release it herself.
Ever since 'The Disconnection' came out on her own label in October 2003, Carina has gone from strength to strength.
A headlining national tour and an appearance in the New Bands tent at Glastonbury has seen her profile continue to rise in the UK.
Recently she signed to the huge American record label Interscope, home of Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails amongst many others.
