bad songs about geometry
Since I won eyesroll's nerd contest, I've been inspired to write bad songs about geometry.

Here's the one that won me the prize. It's about gymnastics:

It's the parallel bars
If you extended them to infinity
They wouldn't intersect
So they're parallel

And I was inspired to write another song, called "Pythagorean Theorem":

Why do they say
Don't walk on the grass
If you walk on the grass
You could shorten your trip by
Up to
30 percent!

Does anyone else share this important talent? Try your best to add to this collection. Hey, maybe we can get a record deal.

2. I watched her do the "Mobius Strip"
But I was wasting my time...
Mobius strippers take off only one thing,
And show you only one side.

3. Message in a Klein Bottle...
Edited on Thu Aug-19-04 12:52 PM by Richardo
I was sure my girl would love it.
But imagine my chagrin,
When she told me where to shove it.

For the problem with a Klein bottle,
(And I don't know which is sadder)
Is that it has no inside,
Or outside, for that matter.

4. Ok this one's REALLY bad
Edited on Thu Aug-19-04 12:46 PM by omshanti
(edit: is it ok if it's not geometry based, just nerdy in general?)

Racing down the axons
The synapses fire
the neurotransmitters transmit
the receptor terminals receive!

Oh neuroscience.... ohhhh neuroscience!
In a matter of milliseconds the signals reach their destination!

5. Here's an equally bad geometry one
The opposite over the hypotenuse
that's the sign of the sine
The adjacent over the hypotenuse
that's the curse of the cosine
Take the opposite over the adjacent
and let's tango with the tangent!
:-)

sometimes I scare myself.

13. I'm gonna try a bad song about cognitive science...
(all apologies to Douglas Hofstadter)

"Godel, Escher, Bach--
Those three could walk the walk.

But Escher took you nowhere,
on that neverending stair,
and Bach with that funny hair,
Takes me from fugue to utter despair.

It was Godel, to be fair
Who made me sense the flair
Of the undecidable proposition.

(Chorus: Undecidable, Undecidable---
How like life, it's a bike unrideable..."

Anyway, there's the start. I'll finish it later after my afternoon mood meds.
