Still down, but things are looking a "little" up....
as I mentioned on Tuesday, late Monday afternoon, my husband was given a letter regarding A Predetermination Letter which essentially said he is to be terminated. Last night we met with our union's business agent and all is not lost. My husband was given a 100 plus page dossier enumerating all the "mistake" he has made for the past 2 years--most of which is anecdotal. We are reading and re-reading this binder and it is rife with mistakes, innuendos, and downright lies. We are going to fight this tooth and nail. My husband is 56 years old and has two major health challenges. Thanks for everyone's support.

2. Excellent!
I am so glad to hear that. I was worried about you and your husband.

It is very stressful fighting an employer, especially one who is determined to get rid of you. Please take some time to de-stress so neither one of you gets too worn out.

I'll continue to pray for you and your husband.

Thanks so much for the update.

3. The only thing I am worried about....
is if the worst happens and he is terminated maintaining our health insurnce. We are lucky to both work for the State of Florida and are members of the "spouse" program. If both spouses work for Florida your health insurance is free. This is a great benefit (and frankly we don't have a lot of crow about benefit-wise). I make pretty good money but if I have to pay for health insurance (very expensive) plus pay for my husband's many, many perscriptions, I don't know what I'm going to do.

5. Focus now on securing his job and worry about the other
later. If you can put back some money, try to do that. Just don't start worrying about the other icky stuff that might happen. Focus on the current icky stuff. ;)

I am not making light of your situation. Just saying try to take it one day at a time.

You have a lot of people pulling for you, dryan. Here's a hug from me.

6. Thanks....
my husband has gone through the procedures manual and has found some ammunition to fight with. He also has contacted his doctors for letters to show that his medical condition may be impeding his stamina. A lot of this is unfortunately, office politics. Worse things have happened to us though and I know that one way or the other we will pull through. Thanks for everyones' prayers and thoughts.
