Another Rant from Florida

As everybody knows, Hurricane Charley completely devastated a large amount of property and of course, people's lives.

This happened about a 100 miles south from myself so I'm fine and all that.

My rant or the start of my rant is...All over the state several charities have set up places where folks can bring can goods, bottled water, towels etc.

My response to all of this is: What a Crock of Bullshit.

There's thousands upon thousands of people who lost EVERYTHING they have, are homeless, no job (and can't get one since the businesses are gone)...They're sleeping on the ground or are in their half-destroyed home with no power, water or gas and so what do we, as a society do??....Send them some blankets and canned beans.

I mean..Son-of-a-Bitch...we have dough for Fat Bloated Corporations, Tax breaks for the super rich, Bombs, War and more Bombs and War and we come to the Aid of our fellow citizens with a fucking bag of macaroni and some bottled water... AAAGGG!!

Yeah, Yeah..I'm sure it makes the people who donate the food and all, nice and warm and fuzzy inside but it's just a pitiful, pitiful attempt to appease the general populace while actually accomplishing next to nothing.

What these people need is MONEY...good beautiful folding money...

There should be some type of Government Credit Card that can be issued to folks such as the ones in Punta Gorda.
These cards could be used for motel rooms, food and buying clothes etc....

I'm to pissed to write anymore...End of Rant.

(And Yes, I gave a decent amount for the relief of these folks but Damnit!..I shouldn't have to....
