That's my 1st tattoo. I drew it when I was 17, and got it a couple months after I turned 18.


This is my favorite, it was my 3rd tattoo. I'm not posting a pic of my 2nd because I don't have a picture in which it isn't bloody & swollen (pictures from when it was done).


That's before it was retouched. I managed to scrape the scabs off in my sleep and fuck it up. My artist loves me though and redid the whole thing for free, even though it was my fault. It seems to be everyone's favorite and you wouldn't know that it's redone.


That is a crappy shot of my armband tattoo. The shading is incredible on this tattoo, as the wires are only about 1/4" wide. You can't really tell in the photo the detail though.

the 1st one was my design (though the middle symbol I owe to the Celts). The rest I saw and modified with my artist. He was great, I was very sad to see him leave regular tattooing for doing permanent makeup. He followed the money. One of his tattoos was a full backpiece of one of Salvador Dali's crucifixions. It took him 37 hours of work, one of the best tattoos I've ever seen. He summed it up by saying, "I make $100 an hour if I'm lucky creating a work of art, but I can make $400 an hour drawing straight lines on ladies faces."

Seriously, I love the way the leopard's face is sort of peeking out from you -- suggestive of shape-shifting. Did you design this yourself?

I'm going to get a tat later this year -- I know who's going to do it (a bona-fide artist) and where on my body it's going to go (upper-left inner-forearm) and the subject (a stylized cat that I'm designing).

Classic question -- does it hurt much? Actually it's not the idea of pain so much, as it is sitting/lying still for a lengthy procedure. I'm sure that I'll manage.

I perused the work of the artist, and found this one on a man's arm... but it also had the jaguar surrounded by a jungle... so I asked her to just do the face and fade out the edges... not quite as faded out as I had hoped, but I just didn't want an entire jungle on my back :)

Yes, it hurt... and it took over an hour. But I think it hurt more than most because it was all black ink... the colors on tattoos that consist of an outline and color are less painful.

I just got one of a skull and burning flag on the side of my head over my ear but i had to let the hair grow over it while its healing (just got the color added to it, had the outline done a few months ago). I have about 12 others , a few huge ones...some small ones. I start on one of my "sleeves" next month...

I just realized I don't have anyway to post them anyways, I don't have a website and I lost the url to the site that the DUer lets us use to post pics. :shrug:
