http://sprott.physics.wisc.edu/pickover/good.htmlI found this link and it was pretty interesting of who this guy picked for his 10 most evil and 10 most good list. So I thought I'd put my list together. Some I agreed with on the list that he had and others are those who I thought should be there
This is of all time:
My list of most evil (in no order)
- Tomas de Torquemada: Leader of the Christian Inquisition horror including the job of Grand Inquisitor given to him by Pope Sixtus IV
- Adolph Hitler: Leader of the Nazi Party, nuff said
- Pol Pot: Ruler of Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge reign of terror.
- Augusto Pinochet: Dictator of Chile - killed thousands of Chilean and even more just 'disappeared'
- Idi Amin: Dictator of Uganda during the 70's killed. Wiped out hundreds of thousands of his people
- Genghis Khan: Mongolia Ruler during the 1200s
- Mao Tse-tung: China Leader - help spread communism throughout the country.
- Ronald Reagan: It was his policies in Central America that killed thousands of people in those country. The Reagan administration also financially supported the Afghanistan Freedom Fighters (Osama bin Laden was one of their leaders), Saddam Hussein, Manuel Noriega: all of which we had end up using military action to fix the problem these folks have caused. Ronald Reagan's inactivity during the beginning of the AIDs epidemic (he never did anything until his 2nd term and even then it was way too little), probably helped to escalate the disease to the major world wide epidemic that it is today. Plus, if Reagan would have never been elected, there would have been no Bush Sr. as VP then President and you know that Bush Jr. would have never run for president!
- Slobodan Milosevic: Ethnic Cleansing in Kosovo - nuff said
- Heinrich Himmler - Author of the Final SOlution for Nazi Germany
My list of good people
- Buddha
- Nelson Mandela: Helped to bring down Apartheid South Africa
- Dalai Lama
- Jesus Christ (not because he's Christ but because of what he did as a person was pretty incredible - peace, love & civil disobedience)
- Franklin D. Roosevelt - New Deal, nuff said
- Mother Teresa
- Abraham Lincoln
- Martin Luther King
- Mohandas Gandhi
- Margerat Sanger - Founder of Planned Parenthood.
