I have like... literally no friends in my home town anymore.

1. Try volunteering somewhere!

Or, if you play an instrument, go to some open mic jams.

2. I'm sorry..
 If you need a friend, I'm usually pretty good at it. :hi: I don't live in your home town, that I know of, but friends online can be just as good, and sometimes better.

3. You can still keep in touch with them
And I know you're going to make new friends real soon. If not, you still have all of us. All 48-49,000 of us!

5. You're not alone
Literally, in the last five years I've had nine of my very close friends move to another city, the last one in May. And now there's no one left that I feel truly close with. It's depressing.

6. You could always consider moving somewhere else yourself,
unless you have a great job, or are in school or something. I've done it twice - just made a decision and moved somewhere for a year or so. It can be a great adventure, and maybe someplace you prefer. Do some research, Or just move to Ohio (as Al Franken is trying to convince people to do!) Sometimes 'hometowns' are a rut.

7. That sucks.
I was there though. My best friend moved 1000 miles away and then I had all these earthy-birthy breastfeeding, hippie mom friends who abandoned me when I ended up with another c-section. So, I moved forward. It's all we can do.
