The nonsense is piling up even more rapidly than before.

For years, I have fought conservatives tooth and nail, and maintained my sanity. However, I am beginning to slip.

Between Keyes declaring Obama insufficiently African American and it becoming Christian duty to vote Republican, I've somehow moved from pointed outrage to blinding fury. What can be done?

2. What can be done...

Get involved with issues that you feel strongly for. Write letters, e-mails and fight for what you think is right. And of course, voting for Kerry/Edwards is one step in the right direction.

Maybe an overall reduction in stress will help me.

You can't be "on" all the time. That's what the lounge is for.
From your post count, looks like you're fairly new here. I felt the same way when I joined up (just 4 1/2 months ago). My head still swims some days from all the talking points on both sides.

This shit is like a hurricane. It blows hard and furious for its period of time, does some damage along the way for sure, but will eventually run out of steam and die. I sense the end is near for them, its just the storm making its last gasp.
