10. You won't believe this BUT
a month ago I had serious tooth pain after a piece of tortilla chip got under one of my crowns...I had tried everything to relieve the pain until I got in to the dentist...my mom was reading one of her women's magazines and they advised hot pepper sauce for a toothache...I put a drop of tabasco on the sore tooth and it worked! Try it! It will probably help with the cravings too...who knows

8. Try raisins...
...instead of chewing gum. Or black licorice.

Congratulations! If you got past 2 days, you're doing better than the 20 times I've tried to quit. I haven't smoked for 7 years now and I can sit in a roomful of cigarette smokers and not even think about it. You will not regret quitting. Life is so much nicer without having that nicotine craving.

11. About two weeks and you lose the feeling that you
gotta have one after a meal. That's one of the toughest hurdles. The next one is stressful situations or out drinking or with friends who smoke. That takes a lot longer to get through. About a year or so, as I recall. The habit of reaching into your pocket or purse takes up to 5 years to go away. Then it's truly all over. Just remember, you are not going to continue to be a willing victim of the tobacco companies, who take your money, your health and then your life, while laughing all the way to the bank. Bastards!

13. I'll light one up for you, kheph!
Not trying to rub it in, but since you won't be needing 'em, I'll burn one for you.

Good luck, really.
