1. i am, i didnt know such a thing was out there...
looks like they are doin 20 kilometers... and if my mental math is right thats just short of 12.5 miles i believe?

5. There's also a 50 km event.
And your conversion is approximately correct - 1.6 km = 1 mile.

and I've seen every decorating show I can stand!
Actually, I'm working because I have insomnia and decided to take a "break" and check DU. Who would guess anyone else has this on in the background!

4. Its not really "watchable" is it?
without something else going on---unless you are a hardcore walk fan. Which I am not. But, I like late night olympics: more odd sports, less jingoism and no sappy stories about plucky orphaned athletes so far....

8. yes, the coverage on the "lesser" channels
(CNBC, MSNBC) has been pretty good. And even NBC has less smarmy personal profiles than usual.

that they're showing the whole damn race (well over an hour) in its entirety....we didn't even get that kind of complete coverage of the tour de france on OLN
