According to GD2004 Kerry is pretty much done for because of the SwiftlessIdiots Liars for Bush are seeming 'effective' against their lies about John Kerry.

Folks this isn't another Dukakis - Atwater released that right before the November election in 1988 and giving absolutely no time for Dukakis to fight back.

In six weeks these folks will be gone from the radar and everyone will still know that Bush is a lying sack of shit. The "Sky is Not Falling" so let's stick with the real point of this campaign and that is Bush has failed our country and he needs to be replaced. When someone questions me about Kerry's military service I get right back in their face and question Bush's military service. That shuts those folks up right away.

But if you really think the end of the Kerry campaign is now - then help yourself to a glass of Kool-Aid

:eyes:

4. I think its the other way around ...
After 3 1/2 years of seeing firsthand what the BFEE is capable of, many here still refuse to entertain the thought that Kerry may not win - or if he does win, won't be Inaugurated.

Face the reality people, Kerry is not God, the BFEE are dirty rotten cheating scoundrels, and it ain't over yet.

5. Junk issues
I'm tired of campaigns that stress junk issues. Every four years we forget about the economy, education, and health care to focus on flag burning, gay marriage, and abortion. Why are the important issues always swept under the rug on election years?

And for the record. The SBV gang could prove without a doubt that they're right about Kerry, causing him to fall to his knees and beg forgiveness, and how would that affect the real issues in America? How would it make Bush* a better leader? It's beyond my comprehension.

Also, I hate to admit. I don't get the Kool Aid reference. I've been hearing it, but don't know what it means or where it comes from. Care to enlighten me.

Signed,
Hopeless Noob

8. Jonestown Massacre
They drank the grape Kool-aid

http://www.wordspy.com/words/drinktheKool-Aid.asp

drink the Kool-Aid v. To become a firm believer in something; to accept an argument or philosophy wholeheartedly or blindly.

This phrase comes from the 1978 "Jonestown massacre" in which members of the Peoples Temple cult committed suicide by drinking cyanide-laced Kool-Aid (although some say the drink of choice was actually Flav-R-Aid).

The reason I made the post: Because some folks are just buying into this "THe world will end because of these assinine vets and their lies will bring down Kerry" It won't. When Chris Matthews of Hardball gets tough on these folks like he did on Thursday, it's starting to look like the Media is questioning the "truth" these assholes are spewing

6. Speaking of Kool-Aid
I read this interesting article last night concerning the phrase "drinking the Kool-Aid". It is written by a survivor of the Jonestown massacre. I just thought I would put a link here.

7. No Kool-Aid for me, LynneSin, but no GD2004 bullshit and defeatism
either.
WHO THE FUCK GIVES A SHIT ABOUT THE LATEST "POLL", KERRY IS GOING TO WIN.

The beancounters just don't get it, neither do the clever political science students with their abstracted horseshit but no common sense nor much real life experience.

The lies and the blood, the fear factor, the scandals-none of it works anymore with real people that really vote.

Got any fresh cranberry juice?

11. Kool Aid is great. We used to put it into ice cube trays and make mini
popsicles when we were kids. (allow the cubes to set up a little and insert toothpicks - or just forget the toothpick and pop the whole cube into your mouth) Then Tupperware and others started selling plastic molds to do the same thing but the ice cube trays worked fine and were much cheaper and easier to clean up.

12. We would put saran wrap over the ice cube tray
that way we could put our toothpicks in right away

I've also made those same popscicles with either Vodka or Grain Alcohol added

On Edit: And don't even talk to me about alcohol. We were kids and it was against church teaching to boot.
