Poll question: If you could have the powers + equipment, of any of these Marvel hero's
who's would you chose to have, of these 10, and why?

*note, you wouldn't have to have the defects or always physically look like them IE, Daredevils blindness or Hulks lack of control, or Nightcrawlers tail+blueness.

Daredevil - Five senses are heightened to beyond that of even superhumanly enhanced sense, can "see" by means of "radar sense", which acts not unlike sonar; use of Billy Club.

Hulk - The capacity for nearly limitless physical strength ; a high degree of resistance to injury, pain, and disease. Skin capable of withstanding great heat without blistering, great cold without freezing, and great impacts ; turning green when using powers.

Human Torch - Ability to control ambient heat energy and the physical ability to envelop his entire body or portions of his body with fiery plasma ; can create projectile "nova flame"; when aflame has ability to float and provide enough lift to carry 180 lbs. ; and fly at speeds up to 140 MPH; use of unburnable uniform.

Invisible Girl/Woman - Ability to render self as well as other people and objects invisible ; project protective fields that are highly resistant to concussive forces ; by projecting columns of psionic force beneath one, can travel through the air.

Jean Grey/"Phoenix" - Telekinetic abilities enabling one to levitate and manipulate living beings and inanimate objects psionically.

Mr. Fantastic - The ability to convert the mass of entire body into a highly malleable state at will, and in such a state, can stretch, deform, expand, or compress entire body or parts thereof into any contiguous shape one can imagine; able to absorb the impact of any type of man-made ballistic projectile by deforming body along the path of the projectile's trajectory at the point of initial impact; virtually impervious to laceration or punctures unless one wilfully relaxes their reflexive control over small areas of one's body.

Nightcrawler - Ability to teleport one's self, the clothes one is wearing, and, within limits, a certain amount of additional mass which one is in contact with, and consciously determine the point of one's return, up to 2-to-3 miles, within sight or memory ; ability
to climb and cling to walls and ceilings ; ability to blend into shadows.

Spider-Man - Superhuman: strength(he can lift about 10 tons), reflexes(15 times faster than an average human), and equilibrium; the ability to cause parts of his body to stick with great tenacity to most surfaces; and a subconscious premonitional "danger" sense ; use of web-shooters which are twin devices worn on wrists which can shoot thin strands of a special "web fluid" at high pressure.

Storm - Psionic ability to control the weather over limited areas; can fly by creating winds strong enough to support own weight; has limited immunity to extreme heat and cold.

Wolverine - possesses heightened senses, making one capable of seeing things at a maximum distance greater than that of a normal human; hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, and one is able to recognize people and objects by scent, even if that person or object is hidden. Can use these enhanced senses to track anyone, with an impressive degree of success; possesses an accelerated healing factor that speeds up natural healing process of almost any injury and gives a higher resistance to poisons and toxins, and can recover from almost any injury ; extended life span, at least 4-5 times longer (and therefor that much slower an aging process) than a normal human; posesses an unbreakable adamantium-fitted skeleton which gives maximum human strength and retractable adamantium-fitted claws in one's forearms.

6. Pheonix is immortal (maybe)....
She's already died and come back like 5 times now.

7. No. Jean is not immortal. She's only really died once and she hasn't come
back. And the first time she actually died was not until within the last couple of years. The first time "Jean" died, it wasn't her.

9. That's the "clone" theory that has been pretty much done away with.
Lately in the comics they have swept the whole "Jean was replaced by a cosmic being" bit under the rug (indeed even the other characters were behaving as though Jean and Phoenix were the same entity towards the end of Morrisson's run, with Scott, Logan, Ororo, Charles, and Emma all commenting on how she handn't show that much power since before her death on the moon) and Jean was once again tapping near infinite levels of power before her most recent death (both on Asteroid M with Wolvie when he "killed her" with his claws when they were falling into the sun and she's not really dead now either as she undid the damage in "Here Comes Tomorrow").

She's complex and she ALWAYS comes back. I could give you a dissertation on why Jean and Pheonix were the same being, but it would take too long.

Something about throwing balls of flame is just so cool. Does this mean I'm a closet pyromaniac?

8. Nobody is explaining how these powers would be advantageous
with Spideys powers you could make 10's of millions of dollars in the NBA or MLB or both. With Wolvie you could stay young for at least 100 years and change. With Storm you could make alot of money in the farming bussiness or competative sailing.

15. Silver Surfer

He was ranked the most powerful superhero of all comic book universe by Wizard magazine.

He can instantly teleport in the universe. He has nearly limitless energy and power. He's one of the fastest out there, too.

16. I don't see how Silver Surfers powers would be that life improving
unless you wanted to take over a country or something. Or fight terrorists. Or enter a silver surfer imitation contest at a comic book convention. Anyway just chose among one of the options I've listed above.

17. You could transport all of the poor, starving people of the world to
Edited on Fri Aug-20-04 08:19 PM by TroubleMan
a lush uninhabited planet.

You could destroy all the big weapons of war, and you fast enough to do it without hurting anybody.

You could grab up the whole bush regime and send them to some hellish planet to eek out the rest of their miserable lives in pain (I would name the planet Clinton just to add insult to injury).

Man....it's limitless what you could do with it.

Basically if you were creative enough, you could end poverty, war, and hunger....At least that's what I would do with it.

27. What I assumed he and the FF got along. Sorry, my knowledge of the
marvel universe, in terms of having read alot of the books, is limited to the X-books. I also know a moderate amount about Spidey but not his continuity because I've seen the 90's TV show (like every episode when it was first aired) and I've read stuff online about characters but I haven't read his books.

I only know scattershot stuff about the continuity of the FF, Avengers, Hulk, Silver Surfer, etc..
