I'm so happy! I broke 100 comments, and I've only been accused of being a freeper bent on undermining the democratic party and the progressive movement like three times! (seems to be a favorite pastime here...)

I'd always been open-minded, even as a repuke, I always considered every thought... and soon there was just way too much against Bush. I guess the biggest thing would be the DUers themselves. I lurked around here and it was just overwhelming.

Why the switch? What attracted you to FR in the first place, and why are you glad to be here?

Hey - I just read that sentence and don't read too much into it. I lurked around FR in 1999 for a while because one of my friends (a libertarian) recommended it. It was a good news source for stories I would not otherwise hear about (even if I didn't agree with the commentary posted). In fact, I heard about DU on FR. Soooo, it wasn't meant as a sideways attack...

I actually never heard of FreeRepublic until I came here, and the reason I came here is I wanted to hear the other side, and I heard it loud and clear! There wasn't even a CHOICE after reading articles here!
