Does anybody have a link to...
that article in Harper's that Randi Rhodes mentioned today? The one that covered the history of the Republican propaganda machine for the past 40 years? I looked on their website and didn't find it.

1. Nope.
But I have the magazine. Haven't had time to read the article yet.

3. Ugh!!!
That is one long ride to buy a magazine. You must live in the country.

4. Upstate NY
The area I live in is actually pretty built up (for a rural hellhole), but the nearest real bookstore (35 miles away) only carries stuff like Martha Stewart Living and other enlightening titles. Even the local library (13 miles away) doesn't carry Harper's. They used to carry The Village Voice and Utne Reader but someone complained. :wtf: Gotta go to Albany to get anything real. :-)

I'd subscribe, but I don't have the money (I could easily spend $1000 a year on subscriptions) and besides, since they moved the post office and I'm partly disabled and find it hard to walk so I generally only go to the post office once every six weeks (on average). 99% of everything I need to do can be done online so it's not worth the bother to drive there. Oh well.
