What's a good, cheap Web host?

My blog needs a knew home -- my sponsor publication closed up shop and is giving me a couple of months to find another host or just quit completely. (They're being cool about the whole thing...)

So -- I'm gonna register my own domain name and then create a site; blog mostly but, hey, it's my site, I can do what I want. I have a name in mind already but I don't want to post it, lest it disappear.

But, I do need a hosting provider -- I want a cheap one, but I don't want to work with Yahoo/Geocities (the one cheapie I have prior experience with). I don't need a hell of a lot of bandwidth or six-sigma uptime or anything -- it's just a blog.

Anyone have any experience with a cheap Web host? (I keep saying cheap because that's a priority...)

8. Why don't you grab

a .mac account for $100 a year? Very versitile. Lots of good features and I think there's a native blogging application. I'm happy with it. I never had any bandwidth issues and thousands of people have looked at my movies and videos there without a problem. Good deal for less than $10 a month.
