college packing reccomendations?

well im starting to pack for school, i leave in a week, and im wondering if any of you DU'ers have any suggestions on what to pack, that is... aside from the obvious items... what commonly forgotten items should i make sure to pack?

On edit: buy your school supplies at a discount store at home before getting there--don't pay the high prices at the school bookstore!

30. This is CRUCIAL.

1. An *extremely* comfortable pair of shoes that go well with most of your clothing -- shoes you'd be okay to walk a couple of miles a day in.

2. Something medium-sized (say, between a shoebox and a breadbox in size) that locks. You never know what kind of roommates you'll have until you have them.

3. Extra batteries in all sizes. If you can't use them, your roommies will. I survived a roomate I was logistically compatible with (similar sleeping, study, and neatness habits) but hated on a personal level by keeping her supplied with batteries and headphones. :)
