8. I wish i wasnt such a chorewhore
Seems to me people who are messy or have clutter seem to be much
happier and less stressed out.

10. I used to think this was true.
But I know exactly where everything is. I have zero stress when I need something important, from paperwork to books.

I've had clutter-holic friends call me in a panic because they lost their keys, their debit cards, their textbooks, their recipes. I never lose anything.

A place for everything, and everything in its place.

I'm less relaxed day to day, but I have way fewer crises, too.

It's a trade-off, I guess.

7. Neat, but cluttered in some places.
Does that make sense at all?

My office has piles of boxes from a move 6 months ago. I don't plan on unpacking them unless I see something I need on the labels.

My bedroom has boxes also. And a pile of clothes that's supposed to go to charity. And a mirror that needs to be hung on the wall.

My kitchen and living room are neat. I just finished vacuuming the living room about 10 minutes ago. I just finished mopping the kitchen 10 minutes before that. The dishes are always either put-away or in the dishwasher.

Laundry is always sent directly to the hamper. It does not sit in the dryer when it is done; this is a BIG pet peeve of mine!

I dust once a week. I windex once a week also, unless the coffee table (glass) is messed-up.

My partner, on the other hand, is a virtual retard when it comes to simply picking-up after himself. He leaves dirty laundry right in the middle of the floor. He can't hang-up a drying towel in the bathroom; it's often found actually in the sink. Dirty dishes left on the coffee table. And just when I'm done cleaning everything, he takes it as a cue to go and mess everything back up. Like clockwork. It's like living with a 3-year-old, and I've been growing more and more resentful of him for the past year. I've voiced my aggrivation with him, but he does nothing in response. Not sure what to do about it. :grr:

14. I have had the advantage of loving a man who is organized and neat...
He is awesome. Do I need to mention that he is a public school teacher (2nd and 3rd year Spanish)?

A good man is very hard to find (and the reverse is also true, if you catch my drift)...Steve

15. I am MESSY
as in messy.

For example, I once lost a journal of mine for a year. It was in my room the whole time, and I combed the whole place over looking for it. It was buried under a pile of clutter.

I think I'll get better about it one day...just not today.
