USA Olympic Medal Winners come predominately from BLUE states !!

Heard it yesterday on NPR. A guy doing some serendipitous research at a California University- Davis, I think it was. He said that up to that point yesterday 83 of the USA's medal winners were from 2000 Gore Blue states and only 58 were from *red states.

How 'bout them apples?

Another point of interest he made was that of the USA women medal winners, almost ALL of them are from identified swing states in the upcoming November elections. He thought it might mean women voters in swing states will make the difference in the election.

I would want to know whether these competitors were from that state or moved their because of better training/coaches/weather.

Wisconsin has the last I knew a training facility that athletes flock to for speed skating.
