Wow! Beck can actually sing! I'm shocked.

I am listening to internet radio and heard a really good remake of "Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime" and was shocked to see it was Beck singing.

While I prefer his peppier dance music to his mellow tunes, I like all of his music.

Run, don't walk to the store and get a copy. It's pure bliss when experienced through closed ear headphones, although the lyrics are a bit depressing. It's easily my favorite album in the past 20 years.

I, too, dismissed him as a one-hit ironic-hipster rap wonder. Then I heard Mutations. It is one of my top twenty all-time records--up there with Pet Sounds, London Calling, Exile on Main Street, and others.
