Did you know there's wireless TV?
I got out a second TV to watch the Olympics and I fired it up and twidled some knobs and got a signal. I didn't even have to plug in the cable. In fact there doesn't seem to be any place to plug in cable. If you wiggle the big silver thing the picture gets better.

Kewl!

11. The coathanger really helped
Had to try a couple of different ones. The plastic ones don't seem to work.

12. but is there more advertising?
Edited on Sun Aug-22-04 05:13 PM by olddem43
than on regular TV? Hard to believe there could be any more, or it would just be all info-mercials.

13. not more advertising
I think there's lower costs in wireless. It's the same as on basic cable, and the same advertising pays for both media.

that wouldn't work over here.

The old analog system got switched off some time ago; even terrestrial broadcasts are all-digital. I.e. no old TV set is able to tune in w/o a set-top box. On the upside one can walk around with the TV without risking a worse signal.
