8. This actually happens

I had a schoolmate who claimed to love being spanked, the harder the better. She said that after a painful spanking and a whole lot of crying, she felt "refreshed", and would talk about her "refreshing spankings".

I haven't seen her in years, but the last time I saw her, she was an adult, probably around 25. She had just gotten married and was in college after working for a few years after high school. She didn't seem to be psychologically screwed-up in any way.

Some kids tolerate spankings, even intense spakings, without a problem. Some kids even like them. But finding all this out involves far too much risk, IMHO.

9. I remember a sort of perverse fascination I had as a child...

examining the welts from the belt that my father used for "spankings." If a child "loves" spanking... I think there is more at issue than how much a kid can tolerate.

And for all of you spanking proponents that will say that a belt is not spanking, I had just as many marks from a hand.
