Cute Siamese Kitten Pics (Mani and Yaxi come home)
My partner and I committed to buying two Siamese female kittens back in June, and upon them reaching 11 weeks of age we were finally able to bring them home on Friday. You can see them as they grow from birth to 11 weeks old at the breeder's site, below. Mani (Chanthiramani) and Yaxi (Yaxiltun) are simply beautiful, and are settling in nicely. Hubby is at home all this week on paternity leave(!).

Lora, the breeder, is a really cool woman who breeds only traditional Siamese (not the alien-looking creatures that pass for Siamese these days), and she barely charges enough to cover her costs; she does it because she loves 'em so much.

This makes four cats altogether now. The others, Muji and Daimon, are in the Gallery:

We are becoming 'those guys with all the cats'. Yikes!

1. I sure needed a kitten fix
I was just over at the Gallery looking at puppy pics. A few minutes break from all the politics. These new babies of yours are great!

6. Thank you!
They're a little nervous around us yet because they were used to their breeder household. I've never had a trust issue with a cat before, but I'm not letting that stop me.

8. Oh! Gawgeous!
LOL, Pad Thai, cute name! What a beautiful coat--unusually light-colored, no? Mani is quite blue-gray, and Yaxi is classic sealpoint. I've never had a blue-point cat of any type before, but I'm in love with her beauty.

5. aww... :)
:)

Muji and Daimon are lovely, and those kittens are very cute as well! Kinda cool how Siamese are always born pure white. Mani and Yaxi are gonna be absolutely beautiful when they grow up.

Aren't Siamese cats great? My kitty is a cream-point old-style (not one of those poor modern starvelings). He came to me as a stray, so I have no idea where he's from or how he got here. Wish I could have seen him as a kitten.

10. Oh, he sounds like a beauty
All my past cats have been foundlings, SPCA purchases, and the like, so I feel a little strange splurging on kittens that have been bred. But we just really wanted Siamese...

Daimon was from the South of Market SPCA, and Muji was given to us by friends. They thought he was a Tonkinese, but it's become abundantly clear he's a Ragdoll, because of his size if nothing else (18 months old and bigger than 16 year-old Daimon). He's show quality, but wasn't bred--just a very lucky accident of a couple of farm cats doin' it! He's really become an adorable creature as he's matured a little.
