1. The one about the high-mileage carb the car companies won't let you have.
That one started with my Uncle Bob in the early 40's during WW2, when he told LOTS of guys about his 39 Chevy they took the "experimental" carburetor off of and wouldn't give back.
Turned out it was a preproduction carb that they introduced later in the 40's, after the war.
