CRAP, I may not be able to get vacation time on election day

Big changes coming at work and there is a freeze for about a month on vacation that includes election day.

I mean, I know I'll be useless sitting at a desk during that day. I was hoping to take Monday - Wednesday off, but I'll get on my hands and knees and beg just to get that Tuesday off now

1. Surely you'll have time to vote??!

Or were you wanting to get out and work for Kerry?

2. I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think your employer is required to
let you have time off to vote.

6. I remember reading that too.
I don't fully recall, but it's got the ring of truth in it.

Unless * rescinded the policy.

4. I'd try for the day after election day
That way you can either party until the cows come home, or drown your sorrows.

(I'm betting party.)

5. Clarification: This isn't so I can vote BUT to volunteer
who cares about voting, that'll get done before I go to work.

I want to go to Philly and volunteer
