Need Advice About XM Radio
I'm getting ready to take a trip and the thought of all those hours in the car with nothing but hate radio makes me feel panicky.

1. It's $10 a month, that I know.
But a car receiver will set you back a bit. Everyone I know who has it, loves it.

2. I have XM--the radio was factory installed
It's good, but if I had the choice I would go "sirius" even thouugh it's $3 a month more. Their selections are more to my liking.

5. I have Sirius......
I LOVE IT! I also have the Boom-Box for taking it to undisclosed locations......

Sirius was the one who backed Air America first! They earned my allegiance.

3. I have XM
but if you want Air America, I'd get Sirus. XM cuts off Randi Rhodes in the afternoon, maybe other shows at night.

4. Here are some pluses and minuses on XM radio:
XM:
+'s:
-equipment is less expensive- you can get a Roady for about $99. It's a nice little plug & play unit.
-subscription is only $9.95 a month, compared to Sirius' 12.95.
- They've been adding channels lately at a pretty rapid pace.

-'s
Clear Channel has stock in the company, but that doesn't effect the programming any.
America Left is not as good as Air America.
No NFL football :(

7. For talk radio, Sirius is better
Air America gets an exclusive channel, and there's also Sirius Left as well.

8. Go with Sirius

They have ALL FOUR HOURS of Randi Rhodes. Unlike far too many of these psuedo-Air America stations and their hatchet-job. Hey, if they want crappy ratings by putting on Ed Schlitz (a poorman's leftwing version of RUSHitler Limpnoodle!) instead of a REAL radio pro, then they get what they deserve.
