Lucas poised to make Star Wars 7, 8, and 9!!!!

The new series will begen immediately after Return of the Jedi! Hopefully some of the original cast might be included! Of course nothing is confirmed yet(as always!), but the folks at ILM have just signed NDA's and cannot disclose the information. My only hope is Lucas WON'T direct..and there will be NO Jar-Jar Binks!!

1. Well, HOORAY!

It took him long enough, though. But I got my hopes up WAY too high about the fourth Indiana Jones movie to get really, really excited about the last 3 Star Wars films. Timothy Zahn wrote a very, very good sequel several years back that they could use as a starting point. (I find Jar Jar Binks strangely attractive.....) :bounce:

and lets other take over some of the creative process.

Hw should function as the corporate memory, but let other writers and directors take over some of the creative process.

He does this with the books and comics, why can't he do it with the movie franchise?

There's actually a novel that already happens immediately after ROTJ...I was under the impression that 7,8 and 9 would be a whole generation later, like 30 years...:shrug:

I'm sorry, I loved the first two Star Wars way back when, and even the third wasn't a dog when compared to the two recent releases. But Lucas has proven beyond a doubt that he has lost all creativity and talent when he made Episodes I&II, and is simply in it to make a buck flogging a dead horse.

These two episodes were simply marketing vehicles, poorly done, clumsly acted, poorly written, vaguely racist pieces of crap that should have been left on the cutting room floor in their entirety.

All that he's doing by making 7, 8, and 9 is trying to make the quick buck. Please, please, somebody make this man stop before his putrid films completely overwhelm his great ones.
