Is The Joshua Tree a single tree or a type of tree?
I know that it is an excellent U2 album but I am asking about the tree itself.

4. in history
When Gram Parsons died, two of his buddies swiped his body and cremated him under a Joshua tree, part of a promise they claimed they made him.

And Randy Newman made reference to plant in one of his bestest songs, "G-d's Song", from Sail Away.

we loves them Yuccas.

5. one of the best U2 albums,if not the best.

Mormon legend says that early settlers called the Joshua tree “the praying plant,” and thought its gnarled branches suggested the Old Testament prophet Joshua pointing the way to the Promised Land. To some modern-day visitors, the park represents that very thing.

6. Yucca Brevifolia, a tree form of yucca
grows in the High deserts of the southwest. Some will reach 2-3 stories high, as in Yucca Valley Ca, near Joshua Tree Nat'l. Park.Very slow growing , and unique in nature.
