How long will Blue Ice stay cold?
If I freeze the little blue ice packs all night and then put them in an insulated bag (with my lunch) in the trunk of my car, how long will the blue ice stay cold?

Anyone have a clue? I don't.

It gets into the 80's here, if that matters.

When it only gets into the 50's (starting in about a month, I guess) will they stay cold all the time -- or at least until summer? (Yes, I'm lazy.)

1. Why are you putting them in the trunk?
The trunk is the hottest place in your car.

2. It is?
Will it stay cooler if I put it in the floorboard?

I am an idiot.

Please explain it to me. Use words of one syllable if at all possible.

4. Hi, Walt Whitman!
:hi:

If you leave the insulated cooler inside your car on the floor, then it should stay cold until lunch. I have done the exact same thing, and the blue ice packs stayed cold until well into the afternoon; it gets quite warm here, too. I don't think they would stay cold more than an hour or two in the summer, though, as it gets well into the 90s here, making it well over 100 inside a car. Guess you would just have to use more ice packs! They should work well, though, if the outside temp doesn't get past 90. Just my experience...
