1. Ever try the accupressure point in the web of the hand between thumb
and first finger? Used to help me when I had migraines. Sadly, only helped as long as I kept the pressure on the point, but it was some comfort.

Hope you get better soon.

3. Oooh - Never Used That for Migraines
but it's very effective if you're in a horrible mood. Hurts like hell if it's done correctly, but it releases some wonderful chemical.

I've actually been wondering about using acupuncture for migraines.

6. give that pressure point a try. Doesn't cost to try and it might help
I have seen a lot of pain blocked with that one.

Hope it helps you.

2. Please ask your doctor for Imitrex
No more suffering. In 1/2 hour of taking it (I do the injections), my headache and nausea are gone.

4. As a fellow migraine sufferer
you have my sympathy.

Luckily, for me, as I've grown older, I seem to be outgrowing the migraines. Now I have one or two a year, whereas it used to be much more frequent.

I was diagnosed with migraines as a young child (age 5) but had been having them earlier. No one could figure out why I was nauseous frequently.

Anyway, I wish you a fast recovery. Take care.

7. Owie
Migraines are the worst. I've had three in my life, and that was plenty.

12. Another vote for Imitrex
In fact ... had to take 50 mg this AM for the migraine that was about to wash over me. Only side effect I get is extreme sensitivity to heat ... hurts to have hot water from the shower hit my head, coffee burns my mouth, fingers become heat sensitive, etc. Symptoms last just slightly longer than the migraine ... 'bout 60 mins.
