after watching Max Cleland's invasion of Crawford, I did a little surfing and stumbled across a performance by this guy on a PBS series "Sierra Center Stage" . . . which is actually live performances from the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company in California . . . anyhow, I was mesmerized by Tommy Emmanuel's finger-style acoustic guitar work . . . absolutely amazing stuff . . . and I'm sitting here wondering how I've never heard of this guy before . . . here's his website if you're interested . . .

1. "Steve & Johnnie" on WGN radio in Chicago have been big fans of

his for years now. They really promote his tours whenever he appears locally. I've heard him interviewed on their show and he is incredibly down to earth - what a nice guy!

One of the greatest guitarists you've never heard. He's been pretty visible in the fingerstyle community in recent years, though. I saw him in concert with Martin Taylor (jazz guitarist) at the Birchmere a few months ago. Astounding! His technique is impeccable, and his energy level onstage is unbelievable. I'll go see him again, if I ever get the chance.
