Has anyone else noticed this about some of the Olympic venues?

They are giant yonic symbols! I've noticed this about the main Olympic stadium and the Peace and Happiness pavillion, where volleyball is played. I also think that there are a couple of others shaped the same way. Rather cool, and something you won't see here in the phallic oriented West.

I was mainly referring to the US. Yes, Greece is officially part of the West, but it's culture has embraced many Eastern and ME ethos. But yes, you are technically correct.

One can have all kinds of symbological fun at this years Olympics. The tipping torch at the base of the stadium is one of the highlights. Wonder if the RW fundies have caught on yet? Probably not or else we could hear their screaming by now.

5. I think the torch looks like a cigar!

When they lit the torch, all I could think was, "That sucker looks just like a giant cigar." How Freudian of them! :evilgrin:
