MY broiled shrimps were ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!
....the SO loved 'em sooooo much....he'd rather I cooked 'em ALL like this instead of fryin' the rest.....hehehehe....he said they were GOURMET quality and I could easily make a fortune as a chef servin' this dish!! *bows*

Here's the recipe for anyone int'ested.....

1 stick butter
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon Pick A Peppa Sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
Salt 'n' cayenne pepper to taste

Mix these together in a small sauce pan for 5 minutes

Pour over 2lbs. peeled and *de-veined* jumbo shrimp in a 9 x 13 pan in a single layer....briol on bottom rack of oven for 20 minutes...turnin' the shrimp every 5 minutes.....serve shrimp and sauce over saffron rice....with a green side salad and garlic bread...the left over pan drippin's are fantastic sopped up with the bread! :9 :9 :9

2. I'm going to try that jus_the_facts.
I love shrimp. Broiling is healthier than frying anyways.

4. Substitute soy sauce for the Worcestershire...
...and a half cup of low-fat peanut butter the butter. Serve on white jasmine rice and garnish with chopped cilantro. You now have a Thai version of the same dish.

6. You broiled for twenty minutes?
the sauce sounds wonderful, but that seems such a long time to me. But I've never broiled shrimp, so I don't know. Is that a standard amount of time?

11. Ah, missed that part - I've only had broilers below the oven
so when I hear broil I think "flame an inch away from food".

At the bottom of an oven, them babies is gonna take a while to cook

Thanks for pointing that out, and reminding me that I need to move away from my "all broilers are below the oven" thinking.

Especially now that I have a DAMNED electric oven again, so I'm sure my broiler is IN the oven, not in the little drawer. Dammit.

23. muscles?
You use it during sex or cannabilism? Or are you just being truloy accurate in your description of "meat" in general?

or do you mean the sea creatures "mussels"?

(sorry, not trying to be a dick, just offering a bit of humerous relief about spelling errors)

27. Oh, I get it!
I see I posted that at 1:40 am, after a largish martini, and so was confused - with the "shrimp" theme going, i was thinking seafoods... and thought the poster meant worcestershire sauce with mussels...

But now I see it means, as you say, the sauce with some extra punch.

Oh well, I've made far dumber - and regrettable - posts when tired.

:-)
