...and in this case the game is being aired nationwide, live. So, it's not as big of a deal as when the game is tape-delayed.

It's just courtesy though, and the 'net needs more of that. :-)

10. True...but those days are long gone.

It costs so much to train, travel, etc, that you pretty much have to accept at least endorsements to survive (in most sports anyway). I'd love for all athletes to be amateurs, too, but we might as well enjoy what we've got.

9. I think "professional" might be code for young millionaires.

These guys gave up a summer of drugs, orgies, partying, golf and pursuing rap careers to "represent". I think they're great. Especially Larry Brown, master thug motivator.
