Who here is or was addicted to eBay?

I discovered it, and bought a ton of stuff. I've stopped now, to the applause of my house mates.

2. I was for a short time, after the Angels won the '02 World Series.
I spent about $250. I love everything I got, though, and although it made a hard December for us, I don't regret having spent a penny. Mrs. V. wasn't even mad at me.

Sometimes I still  and can't believe O8) my team O8) won the got damn World Series.

5. Was
I peddled some golf equipment in 2002 and got hooked, especially when two items went for significantly more than I expected.

Suddenly I was eBaying every night, learning the going rate of plenty of stuff and trying to snag wee hour bargains. Invariably, I would be outbid in the final seconds by some obvious eBay pro with several thousand feedback.

I did meet some incredible people thru eBay transactions, a few of whom I continue to correspond with. And occasionally I'll isolate an item for purchase or sale.

My pet peeve is sellers who charge ripoff shipping rates.

6. Me!
I use it regularly. I've gotten some good deals on musical instruments that are hard to find, a couple of wool carpets for very little money, and some Oriental Antiques. It's fun, but I usually avoid it now.

10. I am a seller of art on ebay.
I don't think I am an addict because I was able to take the summer off due to how slow ebay is in the summer. Also ebay has some serious problem that relate specifically to the art categories. When they removed the going, going, gone link most artist business just came to a halt.

12. I Have Gotten Some AMAZING Artwork On Ebay
if anyone wants some original artwork and can't afford gallery prices... browse through the self representing artist listings.

There are some great talents and if you're lucky... you'll find someone who is just starting out and selling their work for a song! :)

I have also sold some of my own artwork. It takes time until you are established.

11. Addicted? Maybe...
but it DOES provide a nice second income for those who are sharp at spotting "eBay-able stuff" at yard sales and the like.
Some months I can double our (fixed)income.
What's not to like about that?
:hi:

13. I love Ebay!

it's a great resource to find out-of-print books. I've brought some vintage accessories (purses, shawls, jewelry), old tour books of my favorite groups, and vintage photographs just to name a couple of items. I agree that a lot of sellers try to rip off people with super-high shipping costs. I go there at least twice a day to check what's new. The key to success on Ebay is not getting caught up in an auction and bidding more than you really wanted to pay. Set a price limit for yourself and stick with it. The beauty of Ebay is that unless something is very, very rare, it will show up again at some point.

14. I found it so much fun,
but I bought some things I didn't really want, in that they weren't what I expected, and that helped me slow down.

15. I was addicted...
when I first discovered eBay back in 1999. Bought several hundred dollars worth of sports memorabilia. I don't regret the purchases, but I did cut way back! Whenever I come into some money, my addiction comes back and I head to eBay. They have a good warranty program for electronics (and jewelry), so I always check out eBay before I purchase electronics in retail stores.

Jessica
My mom discovered eBay a few months ago and was addicted but did cut back. Although, she still shops there often.
