I heard the bit about the internet (ARAPNET) on Air America. The Beatles played at Candlestick in San Francisco.

1. I was at the Edgewater Hotel in Seattle the other day
They are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Beatles' first appearance in Seattle (August 21, 1964) and this the the hotel where the Beatles fished out of their hotel window.:D

2. Wrong about the last live show!
Edited on Sun Aug-29-04 06:23 PM by Soopercali
It was on the roof of Apple Records, as filmed in "Let It Be" - I believe it was 1969.

8. Hate to nitpick but....
The SF show was the last CONCERT given by the Beatles. The Apple rooftop gig was shot for the Get Back/Let It Be documentary and is not regarded as a real concert because no tickets were sold and the passersby down below couldn't even see the group; just hear them.

5. Where was Al Gore at the time?
He did invent it. (or invented the way as we know it: Full of spam, online advertisements and shopping, and ID fraud.)

In many ways, he's way-cool, but I sure as hell won't forget the (by far) stupidest comment he ever made!
