Stuck Contact Lens
One of my contact lenses (disposable) are stuck on the inside of my eyelid and I can't get it out. Have tried pulling it out, flushing eyes w/ water, etc.

Anyone have any tricks to help me get the lens out of my eye?

Thanks in advance.

1. Don't use Regular Water!
Use saline solution. regular water will make it stick worse.

2. Hot steamy towel for a few minutes over eye
then saline, it should come out.

Good Luck!

3. I've found that a little saline solution or re-wetting drops. .
combined with pulling the corner of your eye up and back while blinking rapidly tends to dislodge them.

It hurts like hell, but it works :)

5. Have someone make sure it is still there.
I wish I had a dime for every search I've done for my kids for lenses they'd already lost. If it was in there for a little while it feels like it's still there.

6. No, I had someone take me to the eye doctor
Can you see the lens? My lens was stuck halfway around the eyeball. If it is just around under the eyelid and not into the socket, you should be able to flush it out with saline or pull it out with toilet tissue (to get a better grip on it). Try not to tear it though.
I know that your eye doctor is probably not open now. I don't know if it would be considered an emergency or not as far as going to the ER. You don't want it stuck in your eye socket overnight though if it was as stuck as mine.

7. Thanks everyone - tried all the advice
except for going to eye doc. Still working on it, but my eyeball really hurts right now so I am going to give it a break.

It feels like it is still in there, but it could be that I have been messing w/ my eye so much it only feels that way. Trying to find my glasses, as I have a major headache right now.

:loveya: Thanks for all the advice!
