I am ashamed to admit, I had never heard of her. But she was great, particularly how she handled that jackass last caller who seems to have confused America with Germany circa 1933.

She's great! She's got two books out that are great--
Bushwomen, which focuses on about 10 or so different women highly placed in the Thug Admin. Traitors to women, America and life on the planet, all of them. An interesting point she makes is that these women are especially succesful in doing their dirty work, and are used by SmirkCo precisely because being women, they are not taken seriously by the media, who prefer to focus on their hairdos and motherhood credentials, not their politics. (well, of course the media can't be trusted at all these days. But the cultural tendency to not take women seriously functions to SmirkCo advantage, and they know it.)

The W Effect: Bush's War on Women.--writings from a host of writers. You'd be surprised how much harm he's doing to women specifically, (not just reproductive integrity), which we hear about even more rarely than we hear about democracy these days. Excellent stuff, important and a feminist perspective that is largely ignored.

Both books are very educating. Make your head explode too. Excellent research, really well written. She's so damn smart! :loveya:
