Your greatest off-the-field athetic accomplishment?
I got the idea from Bill Simmons' latest ESPN.com column.

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/040827

My greatest feat was driving from Raleigh, NC to the Pennsylvania/Delaware border in EXACTLY 6 hours...Amazing

4. You could tell me in code...
For instance, if you wanted to use the word "threesome" you could say "21"...:-)

3. Rebuilt a 4 cylinder car engine solo with no training.
Up till then I'd only done oil changes and spark plugs.

I had nothing but a Chiltons manual for guidance. Had some friends around incase I needed muscle for removing and installing the engine, but other than that I did everything except replacing the camshaft bearings. Ran fine for the 3 more years I owned it.

5. That was about 30 years ago.
I swam my horse, bareback, across a pond.

I could also, at that age, swing up easily onto her bare back without assistance; something that, 3 decades later, seems incredibly athletic. :eyes:

7. I can't talk about it here.
It involved a night at the Unicorn in Chicago, many, many years ago. Let's just say a very good time was had by all. And we'll leave it at that. :-)
